Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a non-profit, public service organization with a membership of over 200,000 college-educated women in over 200 chapters across the world. The organization was established with a purpose to provide programs promoting human welfare and currently has a five-point focus:

- Political Awareness and Involvement
- International Awareness and Involvement
Each year, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. joins forces with business leaders, faith-based organizations and individuals within the community to mobilize their efforts in reaching a single goal –– to improve the lives of others. Participating in our annual campaign provides you the opportunity to share in this vision and positively impact the community in which you work and live.
The Marietta-Roswell Alumnae Chapter is comprised of over 395 members and provides services to Cobb, Cherokee, Paulding and North Fulton counties. The chapter was established in 1986 to implement service-oriented community projects and programs organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. As we kickoff our 2008 campaign, I would like to take this opportunity to share with you some of our service projects, programs and initiatives:
Since the chapter’s inception, Marietta-Roswell has awarded over $200,000 in scholarships benefiting young women and men throughout the counties we serve.
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. realizes the most effective way to help the greatest number of people is to focus on the root causes of the most serious problems. That is why we are bringing people together from all across the community to tackle the issues that matter most. Your sponsorship will assist the Marietta-Roswell Alumnae Chapter to continue to develop, celebrate and honor young women and men within our community.

The Minerva Foundation was organized in 2003 to provide an organizational structure for the communities in Cobb, Cherokee, Paulding and North Fulton counties to have access to and benefit of programs offered by the foundation. The foundation is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, and to partner with the Marietta-Roswell Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. in the implementation of its service-oriented community projects and programs.
