A Message from Our President

Greetings,

On behalf of the 950+ dedicated women of the Marietta-Roswell Alumnae Chapter (MRAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., I welcome you to our official chapter website. We are delighted you have taken a few moments to connect with us and learn more about the “the extra-large chapter with the small chapter feel” through our virtual platform.

We are a sisterhood of college-educated women committed to providing public service programming and impacting the Cobb, Cherokee, and North Fulton communities that we serve.

Marietta-Roswell Alumnae Chapter was chartered in 1986 by 21 dynamic young women.  It was their shared vision, enthusiasm, and desire to bring forth meaningful community service programming.  Over the last 35 years, we remain faithful and committed to the ideals of our dear Sorority of Scholarship, Sisterhood, and Service as we continue to be upfront and center in the community. Our strong foundation consists of relevant and impactful programs that have been created to support our Sorority’s programmatic thrust in the areas of Educational Development, Economic Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Social Action, and Physical and Mental Health.  A few of our signature programs include the award-winning Teen Forum, Community Economic Empowerment Summit, and our bi-annual Cotillion Ball.

Please visit our website regularly to remain abreast of our events and feel free to follow us on our social media sites via Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

We also encourage and welcome members of our illustrious sorority looking for a chapter home to join us for our monthly chapter meetings held virtually on the first Saturday of each month at 10 AM.

In the spirit of Sisterhood and Service,

Tonya N. Byrd

Chapter President
