Our Community Scholarship Program
The Marietta-Roswell Alumnae Chapter proudly champions the success of young African-American women through its signature Community Scholarship Program. At the heart of our mission is a deep belief in the transformative power of education. Each year, we award scholarships to exceptional graduating seniors who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership potential, and a strong dedication to community service.

Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be an African-American female graduating senior
- Must reside in or attend school in Cobb, Cherokee, or North Fulton counties (excluding Alpharetta, Johns Creek, and Milton)
- Must plan to enroll in an accredited college, university, or post-secondary institution within one year of high school graduation
- Must hold a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale
- Parent cannot be a current member of the Marietta-Roswell Alumnae Chapter
As part of the application experience, all candidates are invited to participate in our enriching Image Building Workshop (IBW)—a one-day event designed to equip students with essential skills for college and career success. Workshop sessions include:
- Dressing for success
- Interview preparation
- Effective communication
- And more practical tools for personal and professional growth
Interview Process Overview
As part of our scholarship selection process, finalists will be invited to participate in an in-person interview. This is a meaningful opportunity for applicants to share their goals, experiences, and community impact with a panel of distinguished local leaders.

Our “Rise with Her” Giving Campaign
The Marietta‑Roswell Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. proudly presented the Rise with Her Giving Campaign as a signature celebration of our 40‑year legacy and a renewed commitment to empowering the next generation of scholars and leaders. Throughout the campaign, we upheld our long‑standing dedication to educational excellence, economic advancement, and community uplift—values that have shaped our chapter’s impact for four decades.
Through Rise With Her, we expanded scholarship opportunities, strengthened leadership development, and removed financial barriers that often limit a young woman’s path forward. Every contribution became an investment in her potential—fueling her confidence, her aspirations, and her ability to rise into the leader she is destined to become. Congratulations to our 2025 / 2026 Scholarship Recipients! MRAC proudly announces that our Scholarship Committee identified and awarded thirteen (13) deserving high school seniors $57,300+ in pledged Scholarship Funds. The Committee also recognized our mentored program graduates and legacy graduates with additional monetary awards and certificates. Sorors Shalanda Martin and Crystal McCorkle lead the 2026-2027 Scholarship Committee.
